CCE Marine Shellfish C.A.R.E. Program
Join us in our mission to restore oyster habitats and educate the people of Long Island about the importance of preserving our marine environment.
Empowering our Community
C.A.R.E. stands for Community Aquaculture Restoration and Education and is an initiative of Cornell Cooperative Extension Marine program.
Our mission is to restore Long Island’s waters by using nature’s very own filter: the oyster!
We are committed to the ecological and educational aspects of oyster restoration, ensuring that the residents of Long Island are involved in the process every step of the way. By working together, we can create a sustainable future for oyster habitats and cleaner water for the community.
Join us in our mission to preserve and protect our precious oyster populations, and be part of a brighter, more environmental-friendly future.
